SHEROES. Comic Art from Africa

The guided tour of the exhibition ‘SHEROES. Comic Art from Africa’ provides an insight into Africa's diverse comic scene. It focuses on female protagonists and female perspectives. From superheroes who fight environmental disasters in conjunction with local deities, to young women who master their urban everyday lives, to protagonists who campaign for LGBTQ+ rights or advocate for a more equitable distribution of knowledge as storytellers. The group exhibition shows how the artists address social and ecological challenges and use their comics to powerfully create new visions of the future.

Participation in the guided tour is included in the admission price.
