New museum venue in the banking district from 2028

The Weltkulturen Museum is getting an additional venue starting in 2028: In the newly built Central Business Tower in the middle of Frankfurt's banking district (at the intersection of Neue Mainzer Straße and Junghofstraße), it will house an exhibition space of around 500 square metres.

This will give the Weltkulturen Museum the opportunity to present its collection on a larger scale than to date. In total, the collection comprises around 65,000 cultural belongings from Oceania, Africa, South-East Asia and North, Central and South America. Due to spatial and technical restrictions, only a very small part of the collection can be exhibited in the museum's three existing buildings on Schaumainkai. The museum's activities at Neue Mainzer Strasse 57-59 will run rent-free for 15 years.

With its new venue in the Central Business Tower, the Weltkulturen Museum will become another important milestone in Frankfurt's emerging ‘Kulturmeile’ along the historical ramparts.
