BOOK LAUNCH
Book launch and exhibition tour at Weltkulturen Museum
With Matthias Claudius Hofmann, Richard Kuba, Christina Henneke and Isabel Kreuder (editors and curators)
Saturday, March 22, 3pm
At the book launch at the Weltkulturen Museum, individual essays from the book “Country bin pull'em. A shared look back” will be made tangible in an exhibition tour. From different perspectives, the creators of the publication will provide an insight into the polyphony of topics covered in the exhibition and the book. The four ethnologists discuss the processing of the historical expedition collections from Australia, take up key results of the joint research with the Indigenous communities and talk about the significance of the archive materials for people's everyday lives today.
The publication was published jointly with the Indigenous Wanjina Wunggurr community from Australia and the Frankfurt Frobenius Institute for Cultural Anthropological Research at Goethe University to accompany the exhibition of the same name. It is published in a German and an English edition by Kerber Verlag at a price of 32 euros. The book is available at the Weltkulturen Museum at the reduced museum price of 28 euros.
The tour of the Weltkulturen Museum, Schaumainkai 29, is included in the admission price of 7 euros, concessions 3.50 euros and does not require registration.
