EXHIBITION PREVIEW

SHEROES. Comic Art from Africa” provides a glimpse into Africa’s creative comic scene.

The exhibition focuses on female comic protagonists: superheroes battling environmental catastrophes, modern women living their everyday lives, a narrator of precolonial myths, and activists campaigning for LGBTQ+ rights.

The exhibition honours the inspirational sheroes in these illustrated stories as well as their dedicated creators. Their tales give readers the courage to pursue their own dreams and strive for a harmonious world marked by equal rights.
