    Δ WORKSHOP

    Comic drawing workshop
    With comic artist Katharina Hantke

The exhibition itself becomes a narrative environment. Together we visit the exhibition space, draw inspiration from the architecture, objects and atmospheres, and use this to develop comics. Through movement in the space, collaborative drawing, and playful storytelling formats—such as passing on comic images (panels)—we will create one-page comic stories, 4-panel short comics, and zines. The focus will be on character development, heroes and heroines, and collective brainstorming. No prior knowledge is required.

Dialogue-based tour on Feminist Struggle Day

With cultural mediator Leonie Männich and co-curator Vera Grosch

On Feminist Struggle Day, we will use the exhibition ‘SHEROES. Comic Art from Africa’ as an opportunity to question common images of heroes and heroines. Which bodies are considered heroic? Which are not, and why? In this joint tour, we will discuss feminist images of heroes and heroines, their ambivalences and contradictions, and ask ourselves how everyday actions between exhaustion and renunciation can also be inscribed in notions of strength.

Invite your SHERO or someone you consider a hero to join you for a visit and let's get talking!

Participation in the tour is included in the admission price.
