Manon Schwich, France

Manon Schwich is an art historian who is conducting research at the School of Oriental and African Studies in London. She completed a Masters Thesis on Senegalese Art History, focusing on the Laboratoire Agit'Art : "Le Laboratoire Agit’Art – Entre Dakar (1970) et Londres (1995). Une adaption des stratégies de résistance à l’institution?” at University Paris I - La Sorbonne.
She has also worked on video art and was part of the project “Jour de fête: Vidéo et 10 ans après" at the Centre Pompidou, Paris.

Her research at the Weltkulturen Museum is on the archive of Friedrich Axt and El Sy. Her work will form part of the forthcoming exhibition and publication “Painting, Performance, Politics”.
